"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinquish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:14-17

Your name is Jared

The name Jared means: to bring down, cast down, put down , run down, sink, subdue, take down. I was able to say to Jared yesterday you have fulfilled your name. He has kept the faith and never wavered. He has fought the good fight. This is the hardest thing of our lives. Today, at 6:22 a.m., Jared went to be with the Lord. It was a peaceful transition for which we so thank the Lord. Christina will post a blog in a day or two but asked me to let everyone know about Jared. You all have been so faithful and we will never take it for granted. So please continue to pray for us as we walk a different path now. Love to all, The Waters

We are so sorry for the loss, & yet we are so grateful for the way Jared & all of you let us be a part of this during the last 18 months when we couldn't be there with you. It was an amazing journey we were so fotunate to witness. Although we are heartsick that Jared is no longer with us, we rejoice knowing that he has been restored and healed and can be at peace with our Lord. We love you all so much and our prayers will be with you always. Jared will be missed so much, but NEVER FORGOTTEN!~~xoxoxox~~Misty & Bob

Dianne, Terry, Christina and family: Jared has finally won his battle in the way the Lord saw fit to intervene and we know he was welcomed into Jesus' opened arms. "Well done, good and faithful servant...." You all have been Godly examples for all the rest of us. We will continue to lift each of you up in prayer as you walk through this next period of time. Love to all (even the ones we don't know.)

Waters Family,
Our prayers are with you. We have been praying for Jared and your family from the beginning and we will continue to pray for you! You all have been an inspiration to me to see such faith in the mighthy God we serve. Jared fought a tough battle but didn't lose. I pray for peace in this time. John 14:27 says "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." We do serve a mighty God and I know that you'll be looking to Him for Peace and I know peace is what you will get.

In Christ,

"Did we in our own strength confide, our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side, the Man of God’s own choosing:
Dost ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth, His Name, from age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.

And though this world, with devils filled, should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed His truth to triumph through us:
The Prince of Darkness grim, we tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure, for lo, his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.

That word above all earthly powers, no thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours through Him Who with us sideth:
Let goods and kindred go, this mortal life also;
The body they may kill: God’s truth abideth still,
His kingdom is forever."

We have believed and fought together, and a great warrior has fallen. The quiet on this battle field signals that we stand on holy ground, for our Captain, Who alone is our strength, weeps not for Jared, but for our heartache.

How we had envisioned another outcome! Yet, in this heartsick moment, our tears wash clear our grief and reveal the joy that each of us in our own way experienced with Jared. He is alive, he is alive forevermore! And this our hope renews.

Christina, and all the Waters family, we love you and honor you today. You have shown us how to fight the good fight of faith. Our lives will never be the same.

Nothing can ever be said to take away the pain of losing a loved one. It is obvious that Jared was loved by all. The good thing is that we all have one more angel watching over us.

Waters Family,

I pray that God has breathed His peace into your spirit. With all the heartbreak that is present, we all can hold onto the fact that Jared's battle has brought a lot of people closer to God. We should take up Jared's sword and march onward to proclaiming God's goodness and grace. In Acts, when Peter came against opposition, he pressed on with more intensity. May we take the spirit of both Jared and Peter and press on!!! I love you all.

Once I heard someone very wise say, "You never really someone if you know exactly where they are".
For the Christian, to be absent from the body is the be immediately present with the Lord. What a precious promise!
"Neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing shall separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."....
Our prayers remain with you though this time...

My heart has been heavy today with a mix of grief and pain for us and at the same time relief and pride for Jared.

He was and is an amazing person that touched my life for so many years. His passing leaves a Jared-sized hole in my heart.

Dear Christina and Family,
When I read of Jared going to be with our Lord, my first thought was of 2 Corinthians 5 (http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20corinthians%205:1-9&version=31). Jared is no longer burdened, living in his tired, earthly tent, but with the Lord and clothed in his glorious heavenly dwelling. And for that I thank the Lord, and am praying peace and strength for you all in the days to come.

Hello Christina and Waters family,
My name is Paulette I have come by every day for the past several months and I have prayed for Jared everyday. I did not comment much because I just felt compelled to pray. I had lost anot friend to lukemia several months ago and well I was still drained from that.
I admired Jared's fight so much and his faith and strength. I am so very sorry for the loss of a husband and son. May the LOrd give you the peace to deal with your loss.
