"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinquish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:14-17

......baby steps......... !!
Just wanted to give a short update to all of you, the days all run together for us ! The last three days Jared has done well and made progress (we think) on his breathing tests. They test him( turning the vent way down-having him breathe mostly on his own) about 4 times a day for about an hour to an hour and a half each time. It wears him out but also strengthens his lungs ! The next few days he needs to continue to make progress doing this as he is running out of time on the vent. We pray that every day he will be stronger and be able to do more ! Also the other big concern right now is the "infection" in his stomach. Jared is on a lot of different medication now which makes him a little sick to his stomach. It gets to feeling like one step forward and two back sometimes but we are hopeful that it will all come together for him and we see his fighting spirit coming through!! It has been about 3 weeks since we have had a conversation with him, Jared is doing a lot of "listening" now...we are anxious to hear his voice again...o for the little things in life...please keep Christina in your prayers as she juggles all that is on her plate right now and thank you all again for all the support you send our way !!

Praise God for those little "baby steps"! We stand with you in prayer that these baby steps are building for even more of God's grace and greater miracles to come. We are still constantly amazed by your tremendous strength and learn so much each day from your great display of love and faith. We are in awe of the amazing fight we've seen in Jared and know that God still has great plans for your amazing young man! Hang in there, guys!

We love you all and are with you every step of the way in thought and prayer!

We are so thankful for the baby steps because without those there can be no big steps. We pray that before you know it you will be able to talk with Jared and hear his voice. He is a tower of strength and with your love and support he will continue to be strong. Christina, you are a gift from God and we are all touched by your strength, love and faith. We pray the next few days will bring even bigger steps for Jared being able to heal. We love you and we are standing with you in thoughts, prayers and love and hope! All our love to you--Misty & Bob

But as we know, baby steps lead to so much more, leaps and bounds before we know it. It may seem like we all say the same things each time you post, but each time the prayer changes a little bit and the baby steps show that. We are amazed by Jared with his strength, faith and fortitude. You all are blessed by how you are handling this together and not giving up the faith.
We love you, praise your strength, pray for you constantly and can't wait for more good news and baby steps!

Hold Fast!
