"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinquish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:14-17

Rough Days...

Jared has had some very rough days since coming home from the hospital on Saturday. He is having bad acid indigestion, mouth sores and a very swollen throat. He decided it was best to go back to the hospital yesterday evening. So they had to make an emergency trip to Baylor Grapevine. He is on IV fluids today and they are just running some more tests to see exactly what is going on in his body. He has not been able to get good sleep so that just makes it harder for his body to recover. Please pray that Jared's body would be healed and that the swelling would go down in this throat, that the mouth sores would subside and that he would have long, restful sleep. We know that the Lord is touching Jared even now and that He is directing the doctors and giving them wisdom.

Please continue to post comments to Jared. He asked for us to bring the laptop up to him so he could read what you have written while he is in the hospital.

Continue to pray for Jared and Christina today, pray for peace, wisdom and comfort.

Stand Firm in the Battle!

Hey there brother. I've heard about the tough times you have been going through. I want to let you know that Bill and I have been praying for you. I really hate not being there for you and your family. I wish there was more that I could do. Call me anytime you need someone to talk to or pray with, I mean it, anytime. I'll be up there to see you Thursday, I'll show you my new haircut. Love you brother, and you never leave my thoughts.

Dear Waters Support Team,

Our hearts are heavy for all of you. We pray continually for you to have strength and the peace that passes all understandind as you get into the trenches of this battle that has been set before you.
Jared and Christina... Even though we just met a week or so ago on Sunday morning at Grace, we have deeply loved and cared for your family as part of our own and now extend to you guys as part of our Grace family all of our support and prayers as we have from the day Joanna called us a few weeks ago. Even if our minds cannot even begin to comprehend what you guys are dealing with physically and emotionally at this moment, one thing that we have in common is knowing a God that is so much BIGGER than this disease and all the junk that you are having to deal with right now. Psalms 103:2-3 says.. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, who forgives all your iniquity and heals all your diseases. Thank you Lord for the power to heal Jared and we claim this for him in Jesus name. Christina... as a wife my heart goes out to you. I speak strength over you daily that you will be able to be what Jared needs when he needs it and not to become weary but stand strong for him and walk in His peace.
Diane and Terry... Isaiah 41:10... Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am you God. I will stregthen you, yes, I will help you. I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. We ask Him to give you peace and a strong assurance that He will strengthen you and will be your support as you lean on Him.
Justin and Joanna...Just a reminder to you guys of His FAITHFULNESS.... even when we have little or no faith at times or moments... He is STILL faithful. His love and commitment to you will never change. Cast all your burdens on HIM and rest in His faithfulness... in every area! We are always here for you guys...and BABY ELIJAH!!!! We love you guys so much and our hearts are heavy for what you are having to journey through, but we will see you and support you guys though it!
Jessica.. you didn't think we were going to leave you out did you. We have so enjoyed getting to know you more the last few weeks... What an awesome gift you have of speaking to people and being a voice of encouragement and peace and strength. Even with your own set backs, you continue to link arms with your family and take your place in this battle that has come against your family. We will also continue to pray complete healing in your arm as well that it will be even better than it was before.

What an awesome family to be apart of... we watch you guys and can see the Lord shine through your lives as you take each day and find your strength and peace totally in the Lord. We stand with you on the battle front and cannot wait to celebrate the victory with you!

Much love to you all as we continue to pray for you all!

Dear Jared, Christina and family,

I read this verse and prayed it for you:

"He gives strength to those who are tired and more power to those who are weak. The people who trust in the Lord will become strong again. They will rise up as an eagle in the sky; they will run and not need rest; they will walk and not become tired." Isaiah 40:29,31

You all have such strong faith and trust in the Lord -- He will be faithful and bring healing. Jared, I pray for your healing and for comfort and rest for your body. I love you all and am standing with you -- even though we are far apart, we are close in spirit.

Love, Lish

Jared - Hi! This is Cathy & Kevin Barnett & our family letting you know that you are a miracle in the making. These are tough days, for sure, but we know from experience that Jesus DOES SEE YOU THROUGH tough days! He doesn't leave you in them to flounder in your own strength, but He sees us THROUGH them. When nothing else can be said, "JESUS" is enough! So, for today, we speak HIS Name, JESUS, over you and yours and we continue to battle for you and with you in prayer. May our Father of peace be with you today, friend.
Love,
Kevin, Cathy, Jessica & Robert Herrera, Joanna, Jed, & Jared Barnett
