"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinquish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:14-17

More Steps Forward !!!!

....Friday night they moved Jared out of ICU and back to the Oncology floor. He was not resting so well there since he had gotten more awake and they thought his lungs were doing well enough to make the move....so far so good !! He has been having a lot of pain behind his "bad" eye since Thursday, medication is helping some. This week he will have several tests run to see what is going on with the leukemia and we hope that they will start the radiation soon(never thought I'd say that). Also the doctor said today that his infection had cleared up and they were taking him off the antibiotics.....yeah !!! No more gowns and gloves for the family !!! Jared is really tired and just detoxing from all the medication. A lot has happened in the last three weeks and he is processing it a little at a time. We are thankful to be over this hurdle and aware that we have some awaiting us but we again are hopeful and looking to the Lord to guide the doctor's through the next week. We so appreciate all the prayers and words of encouragement !
Thanks for hanging with us through this difficult time.
Dianne

It is so good to hear more good news. You all (especially Jared) have been through the ringer the past 9 months. We know Jared has a long road ahead of him but we have seen his strength and the fight he has in him so we are very encouraged and we cant wait to see what Jared does next to amaze the Doctors as well as everyone else. We will pray that they can figure out what is causing that pain behind his eye and we will continue to pray for more steps to be taken and for a full healing for Jared. We love you all and are with you in in thoughts and prayers every day. Take care and stay strong!!-- Misty & Bob

Dianne, I would say that was a GIANT step for Jared to move out of ICU - I continue to pray that he moves forward day by day.

Thank you for taking the time to blog so often - it means so much to all of us prayer warriors to know just what is going on with Jared.

Hugs,
Dori

Jared,
I am so glad that you have that tube out of you. I am praying for you and know that God's goodness and grace are sufficient for this trial. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, for He is good and always bigger than your needs. Remmber that he is "I AM." "I AM" here, ""I AM able, "I AM" faithful, "I AM" willing, "I AM" your provider, "I AM" your Rock, "I AM" your Healer, "I AM that I AM."
Love,
