"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinquish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:14-17

Day 78 Update

Mom took me to the doctor on Thursday and we noticed my red blood was about half of what it needed to be. They gave me a unit of blood and told me to come back in the morning to get 3 more units. When we arrived Friday my blood was even lower as well as my whites and platelets. After my infusions I felt much better. However, the doctors are really concerned. I should be making these cells on my own now. I am going back on Monday and hopefully will be doing a bone marrow biopsy. They really want to take a look at it. My blood pressure and pulse remain a concern as well. I am really needing prayer with all these issues. This has been a frustrating time with no answers from the doctors. I always seem to be a puzzle (one doctor even told me this).
The good news is the infusions helped and I am looking forward to my 10th high school class reunion tonight.
Overall I feel ok but know I still have a long way to go. Please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
Love you all!
Jared

Piece of cake! Two steps forward, one step back. We know this pattern well by now. :-)

You are ever in our prayers. We love you and Christina so much.

And I cannot express how excited I am that you are up and about in time for the reunion. When I got the letter earlier this year I prayed a special prayer that the Lord would grant you the strength to attend. The 10-year only comes around once and I did not want you to miss it. I'll see you tonight brother. I love you.

Love always,

Kyle, Elizabeth, Kati, Alex, and Drew

As always, we are praying for you, Christina and the rest of the family fighting this battle with you. And, as always, you are still in good hands! We are praying for wisdom for the docs, as well....and since I work at a regional blood bank, you make it very real that there is a real person at the end of our process. Hang on to Jesus, Jared.
