"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinquish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:14-17

One Day at a Time...

We first want to apologize for the delay in this post but we are sure you are just as busy as we are. Jared is each day making progress in rebuilding his strength, we couldn't have imagined how difficult and tedious the rebuilding process would be. But Jared is determined and that makes all the difference. All of his levels are looking great and he should start the next round of chemo in the following days.

We would like for you to pray specifically for a battle Jared is in currently. The doctors currently have Jared on a detox from the pain medicines he has been taking. His body is physically addicted to these drugs and Jared needs to break this addiction. This is very, very difficult (we stress, very difficult) and causes Jared to have anxiety and panic attacks among other things. Please pray that in the next few days Jared would begin to see a breakthrough in this time of detox and also that the Lord will comfort and put great peace on him during this time. This detox is very instrumental in Jared's moving forward and his body being as healthy as possible for what lies ahead.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. And as always we are overwhelmed by your prayer support for Jared.

Psalm 23:1 The Lord is my Shepher; I shall not want. We will continue to pray for Jared to let the Lord reign on him and may Jared feel His presence every moment. With Jared's determination he can and he WILL overcome this addiction. He has overcome so much already and again we are just in awe of what he is made of. Once Jared starts to see that light at the end of the tunnel the need for the masking of reality with those medications will subside and he will WIN this battle!! Great news on his levels! We will pray for strength daily and peace always for you and yours!! God Bless each and every one of you! All our love~~Misty & Bob

Scripture promises us in Philippians 4:13 "I can do everything through him who gives me strength". Then again in verses 19 and 20: "And my God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen."

We love you brother. You are in our prayers daily.

In Him,

The Gabharts (Kyle, Elizabeth, Kati, Alex, and Drew)

Jared & family: No better words of encouragement than the Word itself! Psalm 34: "The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them...Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them ALL..."
We are continuing to keep you all in thought and prayer.
