"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinquish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:14-17

......still waiting..........

...We are still in that forever place of "waiting" !!!! All of Jared's levels, white/red counts and platelets remain low due to the chemo treatments and until they start moving everything is on hold. Getting the vent tube and chest tube out depend on his levels. He is getting blood/platelets off and on. One GOOD thing is that he has not had any fevers. He is awake for small amounts of time through out the day and wanting to write to try and tell us something but his handwriting is not all that great and we are not the best at guessing what he is trying to say ! Again the main thing right now is seeing his levels move up. Due to his low level counts we are asking for no visitors at this time, it is just to big of a risk for him right now. Thanks for understanding !! If you could join with us and pray that Jared could be at rest and peace during this time we would appreciate it. It seems like every time he opens his eyes its a new world and we are constantly reminding him of where he is and what is going on but it is extremely frustrating and frightening to him at times.
...We remain HOPEFUL that any day now we will see things begin to turn around for Jared !!
Thanks for all that you do for us !!
Dianne

We will pray for him to rest and recover (R&R)...or is that recuperate? we'll pray for that too! I couldn't imagine the strenght and endurance it took for the waters team to hang onto the waters compound for as long as you had when we visited a month ago. What could I possible say about your perseverance now? And Jared...there are no words in this language to describe his strength. There are no words for what I feel. We love you all very much.

We are praying for Jared's comfort and peace. We pray also for the precious time you all are with Jared and the communications become clear! God bless your time together, your perseverance, your strenght and your hope. We are praying for the "turn around" to come quick!

Isn't it wonderful that prayer is 100% germ-free?? Mine are in there for all of you. Starting a three-day mission this morning at my church and Jared will be at the top of my prayer list.

God Bless you all.

Waiting is never our choice, but is the laboratory of God's rich reward. In these moments of waiting, He will renew Jared's strength. Isaiah 40:28-31, "Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable. He gives strength to the weary, and to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the LORD will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary." By the blood of Jesus, fight on, Jared, and we will fight with you.

Dianne and Terry: Every time we pray, we lift all of you up to the throne of grace. Wondering if the hospital has a message/word or letter board that would be easier for Jared to use (point to the word/letter)instead of trying to write....It might be worth asking. Occupational Therapy should have something. We are truly thinking of you many, many times during the day. Love-Bob and Georgia
