Out of ICU again
Jared is out of ICU and back in oncology again. The short term goal (other than stay out of ICU) is to get walking. Physical therapy is working him everyday and today he took a few steps. Hopefully by next week we will see some good progress. The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. So pray for renewed physical strength for him. We are moving toward getting a bone marrow transplant and not sure what all that will look like but one thing is certain the stronger physically he is the better. There is not a lot to say right now but we want to keep you updated so you can continue to pray intelligently. It has been an odd time and very wearing on Jared and us also though to a much lesser degree. We read an interesting passage in Isaiah50:10 "Who walks in the darkness and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord and rely upon his God." We have felt like that in the past weeks but we know He hears our sighs and counts our tears. We are thankful for that as we are also very thankful for your continued prayers and support. They are not in vain. Also if you think about it, pray for a neighbor named Pat, who is having some very serious but undiagnosed lung problems. Thanks. The Waters

To The Entire Waters Family & Blog Supporters:
Thru Jared's journey, I've been taken classes to become a caregiver
for the Stephen Ministry program. As we have all have followed his
journey, I've been amazed. With Christ being at the center of what
you do and who you are, carry healing love and grace into the midst of the thorn-filled darkness
that Jared has been caught in shows me great HOPE>

We are elated for Jared's Good News, even in small doses. We pray for his strength to return and for yours to continue. It has been a very long, very fast year.
(I know-I'm preaching to the choir.) The Waters Family is what life is all about-the love, the strength and especially the un-waivering faith!

We cannot understand the preparation because we do not know the end result. But in Jer. 29:11 God says that he knows the plans for you, plans for your welfare, not calamity, to give you a future and a hope. We believe if God brings you to it.....He will bring you through it. Hugs and keep those steps going forward! Love Ya
