Not Heading Home Yet

They thought Jared might go home on Monday or Tuesday but his white blood cell count and his platelets are down so they are apprehensive to send him on. He was very much himself yesterday, sarcasm and all, and he is getting pretty board with hospital life. But Jared continues to have a great attitude and outlook on this situation.

Please continue to pray that all the details of Jared's care would be worked out and that his body would continue to be strengthened.

One Round Down...

Jared finished his first round of chemo yesterday and is planning on heading home Monday or Tuesday. His blood levels are getting better and his platelets are up around 92,000...that is a wonderful improvement. In between his chemo treatments he will have to go for blood work everyday and for steroid treatments every five days.

Listed below are some specifics things you can pray for:

• Jared would continue to get the high level of treatment and care he's received so far
• The Lord would continue to direct the right doctors to Jared
• Smooth transition in working out care with doctors and hospitals
• Peace for Jared, Christina and the family
• Abundant financial provision

"When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him and put him to flight." Isaiah 59:19

Ready For Battle!

"Put on the FULL armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes...Therefore we put on the FULL armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God."
