"Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all of this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinquish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God." Ephesians 6:14-17

Hair, Steroids and Viva Las Vegas!

Well here I am in all my glory with a nearly full head of hair and certainly a full face of it. I told Christina about a month ago that all I wanted for Christmas was hair, and the steroids have answered that request. We were able to get the steroid regement cut down last week and we are hoping to get it cut down again today, so please lift up that prayer request. The side effects are still pretty strong so please keep praying for me in that regard. In happier news we (Christina, I and her mom Mary) are leaving for Las Vegas tommorrow for a short vacation! I am very excited to be going on this trip as some of you might know Christina and I went to Vegas right before I got sick in May and had a great time. Monday will mark six months that I have had leukemia, and we marvel at the progress that has been made since that very scary Saturday in May, and we praise the mighty name of the Lord for all of the miracles that we have witnessed!

We love you all, have a Happy Thanksgiving and Viva Las Vegas!

Post-Election Day Blues.....

I'm sure everyone is as disappointed as I am by last night's results, so I decided I'd better get on here and try to cheer everyone up. On Monday we recieved the results of my last bone marrow biopsy, which came back completely clean!! This means that every test that they can run on me to find cancer has come back showing that there is none in my body!! We do have a prayer request however, I am still having problems with my eyes and I will remain on a very strong steroid program to address the problem. The nice thing about the steroids is that my hair is growing back exponentially, the downside is pretty bad heartburn and difficulty sleeping. We aren't sure how long we will be on the steroid program, but we just ask that you pray it will be sooner rather than later, but most importantly that my eyes will be healed. We love you all very much, and I promise I will post some pictures of my great new hair!

Love,

Thank You Lazer...

Thank you so much to Lazer to putting together a benefit concert for Jared last Friday! Your generosity and love for Jared is overwhelming. It was by far the most entertaining experience the Waters family has ever had! Also a big thank you to the Moon Bar in Fort Worth and Fishboy for their participation in this event.
